Ten years in the making but we’re finally here. Avengers: Endgame premiers this month and while that certainly has us excited its far from the only thing April has to offer.

Normally I’m not a huge fan of horror movies because while I personally don’t ever get scared of a movie, I also loose the ability to sleep or turn off any of my lights after seeing one. Kicking off on April 4th we’re being “treated” to the remake of Stephen King’s Pet Semitary and just when I would’ve recovered from that we get The Curse of La Llorona. Both films look phenomenally creepy and (just to hurt my editor) scary good. Coupled with the new Hellboy reboot, April is starting to look a lot like October.

HBO is taking center stage with streaming this month with the long-awaited return of Game of Thrones on April 14th. On the Netflix side of things both Snatch and Pineapple Express are available. But more importantly, Brie Larson and Samuel L Jackson are coming to Netflix together, despite Captain Marvel only being available through Disney, in the Unicorn Store.

Video Games

There’s a short list this month for video games. Across major systems there isn’t a whole lot of new releases. One notable exception is Mortal Kombat 11 which will be released on April 23 for the Switch, Xbox, PS 4 and PC.
