Comic books! They are, without a doubt, the best form of entertainment. But, even if you want to argue, you can’t disagree that it’s the most cost effective source of super hero stories going on right now.

On the DC front, there are some very exciting things going on in the Superman family of stories. On top of the Event Leviathan story, Brian Michael Bendis has brought a great deal of mystery to the Superman franchise. Mysterious DC properties like The Question and The Legion of Super Heroes are dependent on what happens in Superman books this month. So DC fans definitely will not what to miss out on anything “Super” in September.

While DC seems to be just now entering into franchise territory, Marvel is just coming out of it. In the wake of Jason Aaron’s War of the Realms, all of Marvel comics is attempting to get back to normalcy. Not to mention Absolute Carnage which is still running strong, and many of this months Marvel comics are the source of more tension than resolution.

But whether you like tension or resolution, this month definitely provides comics for you. We’ve pulled together a couple of comics from each and every week in the month.

And don’t forget to let us know on Twitter, @NerdItHereFirst, which titles you are most excited about this month. We want to hear from you whether they’re on our list or not! So let’s get into it.
