I’m very excited for May for a lot of reasons. While another light month for video games, May is still packed with great entertainment to that is sure to keep people talking.

There are a lot of movies we can be excited about this May, one that may go under a lot of peoples radars however is Domino. Directed by Brian De Palma (the director of the original Mission: Impossible) and staring Game Of Thrones‘ Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jamie Lannister) and Carice van Houten (Melisandre) this movie has not been making the waves I think a CIA crime film could.

Overshadowing Domino is John Wick Chapter 3: Parabellum and Pokémon Detective Pikachu, an intense mystery with high stakes and secret shadow organizations and Keanu Reeves shooting lots of guns, respectively.  Also big on our list is the live-action adaptation of Aladdin and a Superman story we’ve actually never seen before: Brightburn.

With three episodes left to go, HBO is giving us the finale of Game of Thrones this month on May 19th and the behind-the-scenes documentary Game of Thrones: The Last Watch on the 26th. But with this giant of a show coming to end Amazon Prime is giving us a new original series for us to start. Based on the novel by Neil Gaiman and staring David Tennant and Michael Sheen, Good Omens premiers on May 31. It will also feature Benedict Cumberbatch in the role of Satan and Frances McDormand as God meaning it will no doubt be entertaining.

Video Games

A great month for Switch users looking for ports while relatively slow for everyone else May isn’t bringing a whole lot of major AAA titles. That being said we are given Rage 2, a hyper-violent open world game published by Bethesda Softworks and developed by Avalanche Studios (Just Cause series) and id Software (Doom 2016). I can say I’m very excited about this one and the trailers look like its bringing everything those companies do well into one giant post apocalyptic world.
