Xbox Games with Gold Celebrates Star Wars in May

May the 4th be with you. Always. Even while gaming.

Microsoft is apparently celebrating the 4th of May with this month’s “Games with Gold” giveaway. Throughout the month of May, Xbox Gold Live members can get two free Star Wars games as a part of their subscription.

In the first half of the month, from May 1-15, subscribers will be able to download Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2. The darker, more action-packed sequel to the original Force Unleashed game. The game has a mixed positive score on Metacritic. If memory serves, it was a very exciting Star Wars game that did a great job of simulating Jedi powers.

Later in the month, from May 16-31, Microsoft will make Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga available to subscribers. The LEGO game spans the time between The Phantom Menace and Return of the Jedi and has an 80% on Metacritic. The game is as good as any of the LEGO adaptations, and the LEGO games probably translate better than many others do from the Xbox 360 over to the Xbox One.

On top of the two Star Wars titles, which originally ran on the Xbox 360 but are backwards compatible to the Xbox One, there are two original Xbox One titles available for download as well. Subscribers can download Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams for the entire month of May, and Lara Croft: The Temple of Osiris starting on May 16th.
