Bullet Train | August 5 | Only in Theaters
Brad Pitt stars in this nonstop action thrill-ride from director David Leitch (Deadpool 2, Atomic Blonde) about an assassin who wants to dedicate himself to non-violence.. But when five assassins on a bullet train from Tokyo to Morioka find themselves on intersecting missions, he may have no choice.
Bodies, Bodies, Bodies | August 5
Dutch actress Halina Reijn received widespread critical acclaim when she presented her English language directorial debut at the SXSW film festival in March. It was quickly snatched up by Sony for distribution and now it’s coming to a movie theater near you. The movie tells the story of a group of ultra-rich 20 somethings who find themselves trapped in a mansion with an unknown killer. A modern update on classic “cabin in the woods” style horror movies, this black comedy’s satirical take on modern life doesn’t hold back.
Three Thousand Years of Longing | August 31 | Only in Theaters
Director George Miller (Mad Max: Fury Road, Happy Feet)) is back behind the camera with an adaptation of The Djinn in the Nightingale’s Eye starring Tilda Swinton and Idris Elba. Not much is known about the movie. But Miller’s stunning visuals and command of the frame makes any of his movies a must-see experience. Sandman | Netflix | August 5
After many, many, many failed attempts, Neil Gaiman’s opus Sandman has finally been adapted to the screen. And it can’t come soon enough for Netflix after their staggering subscriber loss earlier this year. The first season of this comic book adaptation will follow Morpheus, the Lord of Dreams, as he survives a lengthy imprisonment and then regains control of his kingdom, The Dreaming. The star-studded cast includes is led by Tom Sturridge and includes Gwendoline Christie (Game of Thrones, Star Wars: The Last Jedi) Jenna Coleman (Doctor Who) and Kirby Howell-Baptiste (Barry, Cruella).
She-Hulk: Attorney at Law | Disney+ | August 17
The Marvel Cinematic Universe finally has another Hulk! MCU fans who’ve never dipped into the comics may not know this, but the Marvel Universe is filled with Hulks. You’ve got your Red Hulk, your Gray Hulk, your Hulkling. And now the movie universe has introduced one of the most exciting Hulks, She-Hulk! Jennifer Walters is a practicing lawyer who just happens to also have the ability to transform into a giant green rage monster at the drop of a hat. Welp. Time is a flat circle so HBO is making another Game of Thrones TV show. Actually… they’re making seven. Because you don’t decide when a stone is out of blood, the Warner Brothers decide! Anyway, House of the Dragon is set at the dawn of the Seven Kingdoms, generations before the events of Game of Thrones.

The Saints Row franchise returns with an impressive looking reboot of the series. The game runs on a proprietary engine which Volition has developed in-house. And while that idea may startle players who are gun-shy from other company’s proprietary engines failing to live up to expectations, Satins Row runs beautifully on the PC, pushing the limits of even the most modern gaming rig.
